Align-Mate Bubble-level and compass eyepiece Our Easy-Fit flexible dew shield will combat dewing and keep stray light at bay. The shield features black fibre flocking on the inside for improved image contrast. The shield slides along the tube for storage or will undo and store flat if required.

Align-Mate Bubble-level and compass eyepiece This complete temperature-controllable anti-dew system is the best way to keep dew away from your telescope optics all night long. The kit comprises a controller with six temperature-control steps and a lens cell heating tape. The controller needs to be plugged in to a suitable 12V DC power supply available separately. The tape is plugged into the controller and is then simply attached around the front of the optical tube with an elasticated Velcro strap. When assembled the lead length is 2.8m (110"). The kit also includes a splitter to allow the use of an eyepiece dew heater (AC350 purchased separately, see section on Anti-Dewing Equipment). The controller can be plugged into the Portable Astro Power Station (see below AC338) and at a typical low to mid-range heat setting the Power Station would keep your optics dew free for over 8 hours! Ultra The easiest way to get into astro-photography! The Ultra is a simple and lightweight way to mount any camera onto the ETX and take pictures through the instrument's eyepiece. Combi This highly versatile accessory allows 35mm SLR cameras to be attached to the camera port of the Mak Cass ETXs, and also functions as a rear cell eyepiece holder. A standard T2 mounting ring will need to be purchased separately for your particular camera brand. The adaptor is precision-machined and finished in black anodic dye with a nickel-plated side screw. Amazingly, the "Combi" also functions as a 2" camera adaptor for larger instruments, and allows SLR cameras to be attached to LX200 Classic and GPS telescopes - that's a pretty versatile adaptor! counterbalance It is important to equalise the weight of cameras to reduce stress on the low-powered drive mechanism of the ETX, and also to reduce the need for excess tightening pressure on the Alt/Dec clamp of the ETX. solarfinder Simplicity itself to fit and use, the ETX solar finder fits directly over the front of the standard Meade ETX viewfinder. Lock it into place with the two nylon thumbscrews, and in seconds your ETX is fitted with a safe solar finder. Your crosshairs are safe from burning through as the solar finder fits like a cap covering the optical finder lens completely. Point the scope in the general direction of the sun and the stainless steel mast will cast a vivid shadow onto the engraved front face - simply steer the telescope and make the shadow disappear and the instrument is pointing directly at the sun! Fits many other finders with lens cell barrels smaller than 32.5mm diameter. Click the picture to see it in action. Observing the sun is dangerous and can cause permanent blindness. The solar finder must only be used in conjunction with a safe solar viewing energy rejection filter (see above). |

Align-Mate Bubble-level and compass eyepiece Our solar filters have been designed to allow direct viewing or photography of broadband solar phenomena (sunspots, faculae etc). The filter is manufactured from glass and has a multi-layered metalised coating applied by a process of evaporation in a vacuum chamber. For safe and secure observation the glass filter is sealed in a high precision black anodised aluminium cell that screws directly onto the thread on the front of the telescope tube. For safety the glass filter is held in the cell with precision machined screws and not glue (or tape!) as in some competitor products. gpsmate The GPS-Mate is so powerful and simple to use you'll wonder why nobody thought of it sooner. The GPS-Mate is super-functional and upgrades all Meade ETX scopes regardless of age. It improves pointing accuracy and makes the telescope a joy to set up and use. Even when using the telescope from a regular position, the GPS-Mate still makes the telescope easier to use by eliminating the need to obtain an accurate time signal and input date and time information by hand. The GPS-Mate updates the time and date precisely with a single button push. Micro wedge The Micro-Wedge is an ideal portable way to mount your ETX for astro-photography projects. It allows the ETX to be mounted and polar aligned on a tabletop using the detachable "A" frame or, with this detached, on any suitable photographic tripod (standard 1/4" or 3/8" BSW thread fitting). The users latitude setting can be adjusted between 23 and 90 degrees for the AC020, and 25 and 65 degrees for AC021. ac647 Our new ETX camera adaptor is a simply great way to attach 35mm SLR and DSLR (digital SLR) cameras to the rear port of the Meade ETX 90, 105 and 125 telescopes. The adaptor also allows eyepieces to be attached to the rear of the ETX for “straight through” viewing. The adaptor has a male T-thread to allow the user to attach a standard T ring for the particular brand of camera to be used. Camera rotation and positioning can be achieved after slackening the three screws on the T-mount ring. When combined with the AC330 extension tube (shown below), the unit becomes a combination eyepiece projection camera adaptor that can be used to hold an eyepiece in the imaging pathway to achieve higher magnification images (of planets, lunar craters etc).
