Align-Mate Bubble-level and compass eyepiece The Alignmate (AC296) comprises a large bubble level screw mounted on one side of a solid precision-turned aluminium barrel, and at the other end is a recessed quality oil-damped compass The New Alignmate-Lite (AC580) uses exactly the same quality components as the standard Alignmate but has a lightweight black Delrin body. Beware of expensive imitations - we use only quality British made components.

Align-Mate Bubble-level and compass eyepiece Our solar filters have been designed to allow direct viewing or photography of broadband solar phenomena (sunspots, faculae etc). The filter is manufactured from glass and has a multi-layered metalised coating applied by a process of evaporation in a vacuum chamber. For safe and secure observation the glass filter is sealed in a high precision black anodised aluminium cell that screws directly onto the thread on the front of the telescope tube. For safety the glass filter is held in the cell with precision machined screws and not glue (or tape!) as in some competitor products. Solar observation can be dangerous - read enclosed instructions carefully. |

Align-Mate Bubble-level and compass eyepiece This complete temperature-controllable anti-dew system is the best way to keep dew away from your telescope optics all night long. The kit comprises a controller with six temperature-control steps and a lens cell heating tape. The controller needs to be plugged in to a suitable 12V DC power supply available separately. The tape is plugged into the controller and is then simply attached around the front of the optical tube with an elasticated Velcro strap. When assembled the lead length is 2.8m (110"). The kit also includes a splitter to allow the use of an eyepiece dew heater (AC350 purchased separately, see section on Anti-Dewing Equipment). The controller can be plugged into the Portable Astro Power Station (see below AC338) and at a typical low to mid-range heat setting the Power Station would keep your optics dew free for over 8 hours! Micro Triwedge tripod The Micro-Wedge is a full-height aluminium field tripod designed to allow Altazimuth operation. The Micro-Wedge features handset and eyepiece storage on a special holder at the base of the head - see picture. Micro wedge The Micro-Wedge is an ideal portable way to mount your ETX for use on tabletops, windowsills and photo tripods. It allows the ETX60 and 70AT to be securely mounted on tabletops etc using the detachable "A" frame or, with this detached, on any suitable photographic tripod (standard 1/4" or 3/8" BSW thread fitting). The users latitude setting can be adjusted between 23 and 90 degrees. (note: this feature is not usable with the ETX60 and 70AT as it cannot be polar aligned). The wedge has a built-in spirit level and the tabletop "A" frame has adjustable levelling feet. Complete with instructions and all adjustment tools - finished in black powder coating. |
